Estimated cost - Terms and Conditions

The cost calculator is intended for illustrative purposes only. It provides an estimate based on a straightforward meter position relocation for a property supplied by an underground cable, using several assumptions derived from SPEN’s past experience.

If your property is supplied via an overhead connection, or you live in a flat or apartment, or have a commercial premises we recommend formally applying for an estimate or quotation.

We assume the relocation distance to be 10 meters or less from the existing position to the new external location. If the relocation distance exceeds this, the project cost will need to be calculated using our online application form.

If you choose SPEN to perform excavation on your private land, the costs are based on excavation and reinstatement in a tarmac surface. The incremental cost per meter is based on additional excavation required in a tarmac driveway.

All costs illustrated include 20% VAT.

Should you decide to proceed with a formal quotation for your project, we will review and consider project-specific factors that could alter the price provided by the cost calculator. These factors include, but are not limited to, traffic management costs, complexities arising from work on third-party land, network isolation or reinforcement, and excavation on specialist surfaces.

As a result, the price provided by the cost calculator may differ from a formal estimate or quotation.
